Google has finally unveiled the
mid-range Nexus 5X and the star Nexus 6P smartphones in San Francisco. While it
has partnered with LG for Nexus 5X, its Nexus 6P partner is Huawei. They will
have one big factor in common, their operating systems. Both the phones will be
coupled with Google’s another latest release, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
This
OS has integrated finger print identification that also happens to be a major
feature of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.
Here are some of the pother
features that the phones will be sporting:
- Both phones will be having single Nano SIM card slots that will support 4G LTE bands
- Huawei’s Nexus 6P will have a 5.7-inch QuanHD AMOLED display. Its pixel density would be 518 pi
- This Nexus 6P display will be armed with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection
- LG’s Nexus 5X will have a slightly smaller 5.2-inch full HD display, with a pixel density of 423 pi
- The Nexus 5X will be shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
- Another feature they share is the Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensors. These are located at the back of the phones. Here, Google has tried to be at par with Apple’s new iPhone, although the iPhone has the sensor located on the front side of the phone. This feature helps the user unlock the phone, authenticate app purchases on the Play Store. Its quite fast too, with the recognition happening under 600ms.
